Experimental Shattocke Phylogenetic Tree

by Philip Shaddock

This is the latest version of the Shattocke phylogenetic tree. "Phylogenetic" means that the branching of the family is determined by genetic testing. I have used Big Y SNP testing and FTDNA's Y-DNA STR testing to determine how the family branched over the last millennium. The SNPs are colored red, the STRs colored black. It is the red SNPs that provide certainty. The STRs are in some cases a little less reliable, and in other cases a lot less reliable. I include genealogical notes to give the tree some context in the ongoing genealogical research. Click on the image to enlarge it.
